This is a simple layout of my dream map. It's a fun armory type map, however more action invovled.
Humans spawn in one side of the linear map with tons of ammo and preferably rifles and nades (prob just four nades or just none).
Zombies spawn in spawn 1 with plenty of objects, as soon as 1 zombie reaches spawn 2 area they will spawn there when they die. Same concept until they reach spawn 3 where they will consistently spawn there.
In order for this map to work, the objects has to be prob the blue shelves or breakable boxes. Not too many also. Probably also at zombie spawn 3 less objects than in zombie spawn 1. But since humans have lots of ammo prob smart to make objects plenty, but not too much.
This map will give zombies a sort of a DDay type of feeling and its just intense when bullets are bouncing off your barrier while you tactically try to move your way forward. Prob a kewl dday setting or just a simple bridge or road will work. Maybe if survivors are too strong in this map toy around with objects or even make a way for zombies to run through the sides. ALso can make the map wider to make it easier for zombies.
Always wanted to make this map, just too hard using Hammer for me and would of cost me too much time learning it. I think experienced map makers can make this very fast so I plead them to give this a shot!

I forgot to mention the objects are movable so its very fun for zombies to get creative with the objects. Also I forgot to mention the survivors have to be limited to their spawn points so like in Taba's training map would be perfect where survivors only get to move around in their shooting area box.
Yeah I've always wanted to create and work on maps, but I don't know where to start.. what programs are even in use? I don't think Zombie Panic: Source has a default editor, does it?
Uxiro (he's on vacation right now) a ezf admin knows how to make maps. I read about it first you start by downloading all three source sdk's (in steam tools list) which are free. I think if you have hl2 zps will show when you start source sdk. WHen I started it it didnt show since I didnt have a hl2 game bought i think idk.
From there it boots up a program called hammer, and its a really complicating process from there from what I see. Uxiro says its not too hard it takes time to learn the codes (you need to put codes for object features like door hinges and so on). But it isn't easy as well since it takes people a year to make some of these zps maps (the long objective ones).
Taba if he checks our server again perhaps he can put some input on the topic since he is a very skilled map maker.
Hey lowcash, the pictures above is the first version of the map, the complete version of the map is in this thread http://elitezombiefraggers.activeboard.com/t50610781/ready-to-play-dream-map-aka-cushycush-map/
I'll post some screenshots for that one too.
It's SOOO much better, we tested out the first one and basically fixed all the problems.
I owe wazanator from zps forums for making the map and fixes for me.
